Vanessa Kirby Reportedly Got an Offer to Play Sue Storm in the MCU Fantastic Four Film

Vanessa Kirby is an English stage, TV, and film actress. From 2016 to 2018, Kirby portrayed Princess Margaret in Peter Morgan's Netflix series The Crown, for which she won the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Television Series in 2018. She starred as Estella in the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations, Joanna in Richard Curtis' romantic comedy About Time and Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018). 

She is known mostly for her stage work, having won acclaim and awards for various productions, including Streetcar Named Desire with Ben Foster which transferred to New York; with Variety in 2016 called her "the outstanding stage actress of her generation, capable of the most unexpected choices." After MI6, she had a leading role in another action blockbuster, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

The entertainment company that creates iconic superhero characters, Marvel Entertainment has just announced the cast for their Fantastic Four film. This highly anticipated film by fans will star Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn.

Reported by TrenAsia.com from the official @marvel Instagram account, this film, which tells the story of four superheroes with different powers, will be released on July 25 2025. 

Moss-Bachrach, who just won an Emmy for best supporting actor in the comedy series The Bear last month, will play the character Ben Grimm aka The Thing. And Joseph Quinn, best known for appearing as Eddie in Stranger Things, will play the character Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch. This announcement was made by Marvel via their Instagram account using a Valentine's card. 

Previously, these characters had been brought to the big screen in 2005 and received a sequel in 2007, with the main characters Chris Evans and Jessica Alba.

Quoted by TrenAsia.com from The Guardian page on Thursday, February 15 2024, the two films managed to generate around US$630 million or the equivalent of Rp. 9.76 trillion globally. 2015 also saw another version with Michael B Jordan and Miles Teller, but the film did not receive a good response from critics and audiences.

Although details about this film have not been announced, what is certain is that these characters are astronauts who travel to space and return with special powers.

Rumors about the casting of these actors have been circulating for several months, with Kirby even stating in November last year that he would "love" to join the project.

The film will be directed by Matt Shakman, known primarily for his work in television, including episodes of WandaVision, Succession, and The Great.
