Wolves Vs Man United: Kobbie Mainoo, Red Devils Hero, Hasn't Woke Up from a Beautiful Dream

Kobbie Mainoo did not expect to be able to determine Manchester United's victory against Wolves. 

The Wolves vs Man United match which was played at Molineux Stadium, Friday (2/2/2024), finished with a score of 3-4.

Man United almost failed to bring home full points from Wolves headquarters in the 22nd week of the 2023-2024 Premier League match. 
The Red Devils are already 3-1 up thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford (5'), Rasmus Hojlund (22') and Scott McTominay (75').

Wolves' goal in that period came from Pablo Sarabia's penalty kick in the 71st minute. The home team then reduced the distance again through the action of Max Kilman (85'). 

Gary O'Neil's fleet's attempt to equalize the score was successful in the 90+5 minute thanks to Pedro Neto's goal. However, thousands of home fans at the Molineux Stadium fell silent when Kobbie Mainoo dashed Wolves' hopes of picking up a point. 

The 18 year old player fired a kick from outside the penalty box into the right corner of the Wolves goal.

It was Mainoo's first goal in nine appearances in the Premier League. He made his debut in the highest caste competition in the Premier League in January 2023. After the match, 

Mainoo felt like he was still in a dream, because he was able to score a goal and ensure Man United's victory.

"This is a dream come true. This is a difficult place and we have to win," said Mainoo, quoted by the BBC. "I still can't believe it. Honestly, I still feel like I'm dreaming," Mainoo continued.

He has extraordinary abilities as a modern midfielder," said Ten Hag. "He can defend and attack, but also has the physical ability to do both. He also has composure," he said.
