2025 Mazda CX-5 is ANNOUNCED // Getting more, Costing less

Last week Mazda gave us a big surprisen not only did they give us pricing andp ackaging for the 2025 cx50 midsize crossover or some would call it a compact whatever the big surprise.

There was that the hybrid finally got announced using Toyota's 2 and 2 L hybrid system now we have pricing and packaging of the CX5 the best selling crossover from Mazda this one being built in Japan where the cx50 is built down in Alabama. We'll talk about pricing and packaging and Mazda is addressing the big issue for a lot of customers right now which is the high price of vehicles accompanied by high interest rates.

But we'll also at the back end of this video talk about where Mazda is going with the CX5 what can we look forward to from the bestselling crossover from this Japanese brand all right, what are the updates for the 2025 CX5 well any updates welcome because it's really long in the tooth I want to say this came out in around 2016h, the CX5 anyways wider offerings for CX5 customers with Return of the standard 2 and one 12 s model so they came out with the base model, let's go ahead.

look at what the pricing is for that 2.5S it's at currently for 2024 models they start at 29300 and now neither of those prices are including destination which is is going to be 1420 regardless of whether the vehicler fom Mazda are built in Mexico Alabama or Japan it's all 1420 or even if it's as small as something like an MX5 142 is the destination and fee that they charge you for shipping as well as we have about a $730 plus discount for the entry model now. 

Compared to last year and soaz is doing a good good job adapting to the current market not being able to Shell out as much for these high-end maybe turbo grades U the turbo is great on the CX-5 by the way but just like all non-turbo mazda. 

I also recommend those and in fact sometimes I recommend them over the turbo because you have a pretty Snappy Six-speed automatic, it gives you a great feel and for the price and for the performance against its competitors the 2 and 1/2 lit base Engine with around 190 horsepower or so more than adequate in my opinion and I would take it over. 

Any competitor that has a CVT made it to a turbo or a non-turbo engine, now we're not talking about hybrids and ecvts, i would probably pick that or at least consider as an option against Mazda's base engine.

So here now they've also added standard dual front USBC ports they also did that to the MX5 and I was very happy about that also in the driveway showed up yesterday for this week's review is that the Mazda 3 hatchback turbo so stays tuned for my Impressions on that. 

Those are always a lot of fun to drive that the 25 models will be arriving later this summer so they're probably building them now and then they'll ship them over the Pacific Oceano the United States. 

Let's talk about this CX5 base model the 2.5S that has been reintroduced into the lineup in these days of high and low inflation affordability 187 horsepower 186 lb feet of torque and it doesn't matter whether you put 93 or 87 so just put 87 in there because you're not going to get any more performance also has available cylinder deactivation.

And I stop technology which I don't remember being on the previous model years but I'm sure some of you will correct me if I'm wrong on that and if I remember right the cx50 last week had a standard 10 and 1/4 in screen as well as it can be controlled with the multi-function.

Commander knob I just called that the rotary dial that I've never I didn't realize they actually called it multi-function Commander knob which is integrated with Apple carplay android auto that feature touchscreen functionality the rotary. The dial was not designed around Apple carplay and Android auto but you can enable touchscreen when you have your phone or mirrored onto that screen so you can actually use your hands to interact with an Android auto Apple carplay . 

So it's a big big improvement there's only four speakers found in this Bas model that is I wonder how bad that sounds or how decent, it's  hard to say, it gets HD radio. 

with a hybrid and call it the CX5 and also has a fully electric variant for his particular mark Mar KS CX5 Mazda's best-selling vehicle they can't be able to not have something actuallycompete in this segment.

Now you can say they just created 25 more competitive by making it more affordable, yes but for the next generation they need to have something interesting and I'm happy expectations for Mazda vehicles almost never disappoint me. They really disappoint very impressed I think the cx70 will leave it alone. 

I fell I haven't ridden it because they just put out the third line cx90 but other vehicles has a good design, good materials amazingly good build quality, reliability and everything is complete the package and the price is very expensive also competitive so it offers luxury material and experience for Mainstream prices.

Mazda for sure destroying it even though sales are on CX5 down this year about 133%, they go down, CX5, cx50 go up about 60% so it seems like that reduced production slightly on the CX5 because it can to increase cx50 productio here in America and now cx5 the hybrid is out and the CX-5 hybrid is not and the CX50 will be out in a few years.
